Teen With Serious Head Injury Flown To Hospital Following Crash In Somerset Co.
Three other juveniles were also taken to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
FRANKLIN, NJ — A 17-year-old girl was flown by helicopter to a hospital with a serious head injury following a crash on Friday night in Franklin Township.
On March 15 at 10:10 p.m., a 911 call reported a single motor vehicle crash with four people inside, on Canal Road between Coppermine Road and Old Georgetown Road, said Franklin Township Public Safety Director Quovella M. Maeweather.
Franklin Township Police Officers performed lifesaving efforts until emergency medical services arrived. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital BLS and paramedics requested the landing of New Jersey State Police’s NorthStar helicopter.

A 17-year-old girl occupant was taken to a local area hospital for treatment of a serious head
injury. Three other juvenile occupants were also taken and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The factors that contributed to the crash are currently under investigation by the Franklin Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
