There's Halloween Fun Aplenty This October: See Events In Hillsborough

A dog parade/costume contest, Trunk or Treat, and the Children's Halloween Party are all on the last week of October in Hillsborough.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — "Spooky season" is here, and Hillsborough Parks and Recreation has packed the calendar with family-friendly Halloween events at the end of October.

The 8th Annual Children's Halloween party is Thursday, Oct. 27 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Norz Hill Farms, with a cost of $12 per child. The cost includes a walk through the children's bale maze, a hayride to the pumpkin patch, and other fun activities.

A dog parade and costume contest are the highlights of Howl-O-Ween on Saturday, Oct 29. It begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Ann Van Middlesworth Park dog area, where families and their canines will gather. Hillsborough Girl Scouts will rank costumes, and select prize winners for best group and individual costumes. All prizes are donated by local businesses.

Trunk or Treat at the Willow Road Complex will be Saturday, Oct. 29 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Participants will vote on the best-decorated trunk or vehicle, so creativity is encouraged for those families coming to give out candy.
