Hillsborough: Three New Administrative Appointments Have Ties To The District
Board members approved the administrative appointments of three individuals with ties to Hillsborough Township Public Schools.

At the July Board of Education meeting, Board members approved the administrative appointments of three individuals with ties to Hillsborough Township Public Schools.
The district is pleased to announce the selection of Peggy Valenti as the new district Supervisor of Visual and Performing Arts/Family & Consumer Science, Michael Davis as the district’s Assistant Athletic Director, and Jennifer Battista as the new Vice Principal at Auten Road Intermediate School.

Peggy Valenti will start on August 25 as the district’s Supervisor of Visual and Performing
Arts/Family & Consumer Science. Valenti served the district in this role from 2007-2010. She has also held the position of Artist Curriculum Program Director at the Metropolitan Opera Guild in Lincoln Center and most recently was the Visual and Performing Arts Supervisor for Clifton Public Schools from 2010-2013.
Valenti has a bachelor’s in music education from Westminster Choir College and a master’s in educational administration and supervision from Rider Jennifer Battista will take on the role of Vice Principal at Auten Road Intermediate School.

Michael Davis will begin as the Assistant Athletic Director on September 1. Davis, currently a health and physical education teacher at Auten Road Intermediate School, has held that position since 2005. He earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Kean University and a master’s degree in education from Marygrove College.
Jennifer Battista will take on the role of Vice Principal at Auten Road Intermediate School.
Battista is currently the writing content specialist and READ 180 teacher at Hillsborough Middle School. She has served in this position since 2007. From 2003-2007, Battista was the Middle School grade eight literacy teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from William Paterson University and a master’s in educational administration from the University of Scranton.
“We are thrilled that we were able to hire three highly qualified individuals who have a history with our school district,” stated Dr. Jorden Schiff, Superintendent of Hillsborough Township Public Schools. “All three know the district, are familiar with our staff and students, and will hit the ground running.”
