Transformer Fire Closes Willow Road In Hillsborough
Amwell Road is also closed on Tuesday and power outages are being reported following a severe thunderstorm.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A transformer fire has caused Willow Road to close in Hillsborough on Tuesday.
The roadway is closed between Amwell Road and Homestead Road, according to an alert sent out by the township around 3:35 p.m.
Additionally Amwell Road was closed between East Mountain Road to River Road. It has since reopened as of 5:45 p.m.

Drivers should avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
JCP&L is reporting 105 customers are without power as of 3:30 p.m. following a severe thunderstorm. Power is estimated to be restored by 5:30 p.m.
