Trapped Driver In Rollover Crash Rescued In Hillsborough
Hillsborough Firefighters, paramedics and police helped to pull the driver out of the car on the morning after Thanksgiving.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A driver trapped inside a car that crashed and rolled over on the morning following Thanksgiving was rescued in Hillsborough.
On Friday, Nov. 25 at around 8:49 a.m., the Hillsborough Township Police went to the Route 206 Bypass (northbound) between Service Road and Route 206 for a reported overturned vehicle, said police.
Police found the driver, identified as Melody Lopez, 25, of Lawrencville, trapped in the vehicle with serious injuries, said police.

The Hillsborough Township Fire Department (Stations 36 and 37) along with the Robert Wood Johnson EMS and Paramedics helped to extricate Lopez from the vehicle.
The roadway was closed for about four hours as a result on Friday.

A preliminary investigation found that the driver went off the roadway to the right (northbound shoulder) and up the embankment where it rolled over several times before coming to a rest under the Hamilton Road overpass, said police.
Lopez was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick by RWJ EMS and Paramedics. The crash remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Police Department Traffic Bureau.
