Triangle School Joins Bid for Bubble Record
Students and local officials join Autism Bubble Day project aimed at setting new world record.
Despite gusty winds that hampered their efforts, students at Triangle School made an effort at helping set a new world record for bubble blowing Monday, as part of Autism Bubble Day.
The project is aimed at increasing awareness of the challenges facing kids with autism spectrum conditions. Many children on the autism spectrum find themselves isolated or unable to develop friendships—part of the goal of the project is to help overcome those challenges with a fun project.
Hillsborough's bubble-blowers included the Triangle School students and teachers, as well as a few local officials, who joined in.

"(Township Committeewoman) Gloria McCauley, administrator Anthony Ferrera and myself were there with 600 kids blowing bubbles," Township Committeeman Greg Burchette said at Tuesday's committee meeting. "It was a great time."
The project aimed at drawing more participants than last year's, in hopes of securing the world record for the Guiness World Record Book. The official tally needed to be beat is 34,529. Whether a new record was made hasn't been announced.
