Video: Somerset Pizzeria Takes On 'Bird Box' Challenge

SOMERSET NJ — A Somerset Pizzeria has taken on the "Bird Box" Challenge inspired by the famed hit Netflix movie.
The challenge entails people doing different tasks while blindfolded. It models the "Bird Box" movie where actress Sandra Bullock plays a woman who must flee an evil force with her children while blindfolded.
Owner Damiano Orsillo heard about the challenge and wanted to be one of the first in the area to try it out at his pizzeria Piazza Orsillo at 120 Cedar Grove Ln. in Somerset.

Orsillo's employee Tim Enad was tasked with making a cheese pizza while blindfolded.
"It came out really good, surprisingly really good," Orsillo said of Enad's pizza.

According to Netflix, 45 million people had viewed the movie in the first seven days after its release. The film inspired countless memes as well as the viral trend known as the "Bird Box" challenge.
Unlike with Piazza Orsillo some have taken the challenge to a level that could be dangerous. As a result, last week YouTube removed a number of videos posted as part of the challenge. Netflix issued a statement, asking fans not to hurt themselves.
Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE. We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.
