Woman ID'd In Fatal Crash With Tractor Trailer In Somerset County
A 2020 orange Dodge Charger and a 2008 black Volvo tractor-trailer crashed over the weekend, said authorities.
FRANKLIN, NJ — Authorities have identified a Somerset County woman killed in a fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer in Franklin Township over the weekend.
Kelly D. Haymond, 28, of North Plainfield, was identified as the fatal victim, police said Monday.
On Feb. 1 at 2:49 a.m., the Franklin Township Police Department received a 911 call reporting a serious motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles in the area of South Middlebush Road near Jacques Lane, said Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.

A female, 28-year-old resident of North Plainfield, who was the driver and sole occupant of a 2020 orange Dodge Charger, was pronounced dead on scene.
The driver and sole occupant of a 2008 black Volvo tractor-trailer sustained no injuries.

The factors that contributed to the crash are currently under investigation by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team and the Franklin Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
