Young Bald Eagles Take First Flight Of 2023 At Duke Farms
Duke Farms' live 24-hour eagle cam captured the flight early Monday morning.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Both sibling young bald eagles at Duke Farms have officially taken their first flight on Monday morning. (Video below)
The bald eagles that hatched in late January at the nature preserve in Hillsborough took their first flights at around 5:41 a.m. and the second at around 8:40 a.m.
"The Duke Farms juvenile eagles have fledged!" said Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ. "We expect that they'll return to the nest for the next week or so, while they learn to navigate their new world."

The first egg was laid on Jan. 20 and the second on Jan. 23. The first egg hatched on Feb. 27 and the second on Feb. 28.
