According to the Playbill for the Broadway show, "Stakes are higher than ever before as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage."
Director Derek Kinnear said, "Students experience firsthand the unique comedy genius of these characters and setting, based on the hit Nickelodeon cartoon series, and parents can relive their after school childhood joy."

Fleshing out the cast are dozens of K-12 students who will take you on a two-hour journey that's filled with heart, hope, and friendship.
The show features an original score by several hit pop stars — including Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper, and John Legend.
Performance dates are Friday, May 19 at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 20 at 2 p.m., and Sunday, May 21 at 2 p.m. at Hoboken High School, 800 Clinton St. Tickets are limited and can be purchased in advance at HHSNJ.BookTix.com.
