2 Popular Jersey City Restaurants, 1 Business To Close; Special Events Planned
Two popular Jersey City restaurants, and one spirits store, have announced they'll shut their doors for good. Two will have closing events.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Two popular Jersey City restaurants announced earlier this month that they would close after many years in business.
The Iron Monkey Cafe on Greene Street has said its last day will be Monday, Dec. 31, and they're offering 50 percent off drinks that day. The restaurant opened downtown in 1995.
They said to watch their Instagram for other closing events and updates.

Meanwhile, Just Beclaws, a Vietnamese Cajun restaurant in Jersey City, was scheduled to close for good after this past Saturday, Dec. 23.
Earlier, they had posted an announcement that they would close Dec. 16, but they moved the date back a week and also hosted a toy drive.

"This decision was not made lightly," posted Just Beclaws. "...We hope the friendships and connections made within the walls of Just Beclaws will endure."
Customers posted that they will miss the seafood, fries, and wings.
Corgi Spirits To Hold Events
Another popular store, Corgi Spirits at the Jersey City Distillery, announced this month that their landlord said he wouldn't renew their lease. They have made the "very difficult" decision to close, they said.
They will hold a closing event on Dec. 30 with special discounts, they said. (More information is here.)
