Gotan Coffee Kitchen, a NYC-based "coffee culture tribute," held its grand opening on Van Vorst Street in Jersey City last month. As a bonus, it notes on its website that it will open a third location at Hoboken's massive 770 Jackson St. residential complex later this year, on the west side of that city.
Finally, a surprise announcement appeared on social media last week. Tree House Coffee on the West Side of Jersey City said it's hiring both for its current shop — which has a backyard that customers can work in — and for the "future Downtown location."

Two Soft Openings In Hoboken, And A Reopening
Two quaint shops held their soft openings in Hoboken recently.

The long awaited Company Kafe held its soft opening at 526 Jefferson St. last week, and is planning a grand opening celebration for this Friday. They've got an array of food items along with their coffee: Co-owner Anthony Della Fave said the bread comes from Antique Bakery, with bagels from Bagels on the Hudson. They also have focaccia, yogurt parfaits, and other meals. See more photos below.
The owners have Hoboken and Jersey City roots. They said that on Friday guests should "Stop by for grand opening specials and giveaways."
Where did they get the name? "Our take on what you would find sitting around the table in good Company."

If you've gotten this far, you're probably a coffee person. Well, another new cafe, Hey, Coffee People, dazzles with baked goods, a workspace, and decor. They're still in soft opening for now. Stop by at 103 Garden St., the former Garden State Hemp shop:

Finally, the uptown Hoboken Starbucks at Twelfth and Hudson streets reopened Monday, April 17 after a remodeling. Check it out:

And again, Gotan Coffee Kitchen will open its third location at 770 Jackson St. in Hoboken later this year (see that note above).
