5 New Restaurants To Try In North Jersey That Opened In November 2023
What's new for the season? From sushi brunch to Turkish eats, here are new offerings to try in North Jersey as you do your holiday shopping.
NORTH JERSEY, NJ — As you shop, sip, and take time off for the holidays, you may want to stop for a bite at a new restaurant in North Jersey or try a seasonal menu.
Luckily, as businesses recover from the pandemic, restaurateurs have been holding grand openings and offering new menus. Here are some new offerings around North Jersey:
Rumi Mediterranean Café and Grill, Bloomfield

In early November, co-owner Erkan Okyar and his team began welcoming hungry patrons to Rumi Mediterranean in Bloomfield Center at 265 Glenwood Ave., Bloomfield. The Mediterranean menu features dishes from countries like Greece, Turkey, and Lebanon. Dishes range from Lamb Doner (Gyro) Shawarma to kebabs to salmon filet. Blu On The Hudson And Blu Sushi Bar, Weehawken

Blu on The Hudson, which faces the Hudson River waterfront, opened in Weehawken earlier this year, but it only began offering brunch recently. They've kicked off the season with new dishes, including ricotta stuffed pancakes with blueberry compote and halloumi and cheese soft scrambled eggs. Drink options include a seasonal black truffle bloody Mary. Blu is a surprisingly short stroll on the waterfront walkway from Hoboken, and a place to hold an event, impress a date, or bring the family. Ethan and the Bean is a café that employs people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Its first location opened in Little Falls in 2019. It recently planned its grand opening for its second location in Morristown, at Valley National Bank's new headquarters at 70 Speedwell Ave. The featured drink at the grand opening was the Ube latte, a Philippine dessert made from boiled and mashed purple yam. Wonder, Springfield
Can't decide on just one restaurant? Residents of Hudson and Union counties can now order from several restaurants at once if they're located near one of the six Wonder locations that sprouted in New Jersey this year. During the pandemic, the company sent food trucks with chefs on board to various neighborhoods. Now they're operating kitchens in several towns and cities. Salad House, Secaucus
Joey Cioffi, who started the Salad House franchise, said he's "very excited" about the newest location in Secaucus. It opened last weekend at 700 Plaza Drive, serving made-to-order chopped salads, sandwiches, wraps, grain bowls, and smoothies. The Secaucus franchise is owned by the man who owned the former La Mia Cucina on Front Street. Find out more here.
