6 Competing For 3 Seats On Hoboken School Board

HOBOKEN, NJ — The battlefield is set for the Hoboken Board of Education election this November.

According to the Hudson County Clerk’s Office, six candidates have filed to run for three open seats on the board as part of the 2019 general election. Each term lasts three years.

  • Patricia Waiters - Education Children's Future
  • Shweta Gursahani - no slogan
  • Jennifer Evans - no slogan
  • Sheillah Dallara - no slogan
  • Alex De La Torre - no slogan
  • Joyce Simons - no slogan

The terms of Dallara, De La Torre and Evans are expiring.

The last day to file school board election petitions was Monday, July 29. The 2019 general election will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
