Garbage-Throwing And Street-Fighting: Hoboken Police Roundup

Here are details of arrests made by Hoboken police during the third week of November.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken police arrested several people this week for crimes as various as throwing garbage and starting fights.

Here are the details:

Johnny Aviles, 45, of Hoboken was arrested on an aggravated assault charge Sunday, Nov. 21 about 10:40 p.m., police said.

Aviles, who stands accused of fighting near First and Garden streets on June 26, was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, officials said.


Hoboken resident Jessica Rosewell, 36, was arrested at 64 Newark St. about 1:30 a.m. that Sunday after police received reports of a woman throwing garbage and damaging property, officials said.

Rosewell was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief (shattered vehicle window), refusal to be fingerprinted, and an open warrant, officials said. Rosewell was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility based on an open warrant, said police.


Dajohn Flowers, 31, stands accused of theft of movable property on Nov. 11, on the 300 block of Washington Street, police said. The Jersey City man was arrested on Nov. 20, police said.


Brooklyn man Ayodele Onagoruwa, 44, was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge near 300 Observer Highway on Nov. 20 about 12:30 a.m., police said.

Officers also issued summonses for failure to observe a traffic signal, reckless driving, and refusal to submit breath samples, police said.
