HOBOKEN, NJ — Gregory's Coffee, which has numerous locations in New York City and two shops in Jersey City, announced this week that its Hoboken location will open this Friday.
On Instagram on Tuesday, the shop announced, "Been a long time coming! Our newest location is ready for lift off. Come see us this Friday, 1/15 on the corner of River and First. We’re ready with coffee and positive vibes for you all!"
The new corner location is just two blocks from the Hoboken train station and waterfront.
The store will offer coffee, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, healthy food like yogurt, and more.
The small chain was founded in 2006 in Manhattan by Gregory Zamfotis.
Last year, Zamfotis told Patch, "We've had our eye on Hoboken for years! Why? The community, the energy, the history, the unbelievable waterfront...to be honest, it was getting hard to find a reason why we shouldn't be there; we just had to find the right space."

He noted, "As a family-run company, it is important to us that our spaces to become ingrained in the community. We will bring amazing coffee, house-made pastries (including many incredible plant-based options) and all the positive vibes it can handle."
The area near the train station has a number of coffee joints in a few square blocks, including Bean Vault (pictured below), the Roost Outpost, Joboken, Simply Chai, and Starbucks.
