HOBOKEN, NJ — Not many homes in the mile-square city of Hoboken boast a private parking garage, much less a four-car garage, indoor pool, and sauna.

The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that Johan de Nysschen, the chief operating officer of Volkswagen Group North America Region, has listed his 6,000-square-foot townhouse in Hoboken for $5.25 million. The publication says it would be among the most expensive single-family homes ever sold in the area.

The home has a fireplace, rooftop deck, and a hidden dartboard wall. De Nysschen calls it "indulgent living." Read more and see photos here.

Meanwhile, the WSJ isn't the only publication to report on high-end Hoboken real estate recently. On Thursday, the New York Post reported that a Hoboken home at Garden and 13th streets, once owned by newscaster Natalie Morales, was on the market for five days before being sold for $3.05 million. The turn-of-the-century home features a chef's kitchen and garden patio.

While many people have moved from cities like Hoboken to the suburbs during the pandemic, others have left their New York City neighborhoods and moved to Hoboken and Jersey City. READ MORE: A Thousand New Yorkers Moved To Hoboken During The Pandemic
