Multiculutral Street Fair Coming To Downtown Jersey City This Weekend

The 17th annual event will feature an outdoor carnival, food vendors, games, and indoor exhibits.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — At least 1,000 people are expected to attend a "carnival and social studies fair" in downtown Jersey City this weekend.

Hudson Montessori School runs the fair each year, which has food vendors and activities outside, and museum-like exhibits inside the classrooms.

Their 17th annual event is a free, museum-style fair open to everyone—children, parents, and the rest of the community.

This year's theme is "Tapestry of Cultures."

The outdoor street carnival will include clown entertainers, face painting, balloon art, community tables, and food trucks. There will be a "treasure hunt" game with giveaways.

The school will open its doors so attendees can enjoy hands-on exhibits in each classroom, resembling museum galleries.

Students and teachers have transformed their classrooms, decorating them from floor to ceiling in the “Tapestry of Cultures” theme.
