HOBOKEN, NJ — Police responding to a noise complaint earlier this month found a man who had a loaded rifle in his car, officials say.
At around 1:45 a.m. on May 13, Hoboken officers Ronald Kibitlewski and Zackary Guido headed to the 1400 block of Sinatra Drive North to check out reports of loud music coming from an illegally parked car.
They found Victor Eide of Mobile, Ala., police said.
He was issued summonses for illegal parking and having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle.
Then, police found an AR-15 style rifle in the trunk, police say. It had rounds in its magazine and one round in the chamber, police said. Police also found a box of ammunition.
Eide was also charged with possession of weapons for unlawful purposes and unlawful possession of weapons.
He was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
