HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — For two years, Chris Tsakis — a punk rock musician who lives in Weehawken — co-owned an antique shop in Saugherties, N.Y., near Woodstock. The shop closed and he kept his favorite finds in his personal garage. But that's about to change.

This weekend, Tsakis announced, he's holding a three-day vintage estate sale in Weehawken in order to accomplish a "Swedish death cleaning" of his property.

His store was called "That Cave," and it held the items he'd acquired by hunting around estate sales and flea markets for years.

"I've spent my entire life hunting for treasures at estate sales, flea markets, garage sales, tag sales, thrift and online," he said in an announcement. "I’ve been a professional seller on eBay and Reverb...Now it’s time to reclaim my space."

"There's something for everyone," he said, "but no baby or children's items and no junk."

On Friday, he told Patch, "What they can find here in the next three days is the remaining stock from my store. I closed it about four years ago."

After selling all day on Friday, he'll be selling again 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday.

He's located at 60 Hudson Place, in Weehawken, walkable from the stairs at the back of the Lidl parking lot.

Find out more about the sale here and see a new video from the Weehawken Gazette showing the offerings here.
