2 Families Left Homeless After Hoboken Fire: Officials

HOBOKEN, NJ — A fire in Hoboken early Sunday morning has left two families temporarily homeless, officials said.

The Hoboken Fire Department responded to the 700 block of Adams Street at 5:08 a.m. on Sunday on reports of a fire on the roof of a four-story building, said public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, and no injuries were reported, she said.

Two families, in two units, were temporarily displaced due to fire and water damage, she said. Both families found temporary accommodations and hope to return home soon.

The Fire Prevention Bureau is currently investigating the incident, she said. No further information was available.
