HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken's annual "Movies Under The Stars" series returns this summer with a lineup of feature films and documentaries — and free pizza will be available at most of the events.
The films are shown on a big screen at two parks: Pier A Park on the south waterfront, near the Train Terminal, and ResilienCity Park at 13th and Madison streets.
Notably, this year's lineup will include "Delivered Vacant," a poignant documentary shot in the 1980s as Hoboken experienced its sometimes painful gentrification.
The 1992 film, shot by Nora Jacobson, shows a critical time in the recent history of the mile-square city, including mass condo conversations, heated development meetings, and political battles.
