HOBOKEN, NJ — Leasing began this week at a new 52-unit apartment building in Hoboken's northwest corner, replacing a former Hertz car rental site.
The building will ultimately contain a Starbucks coffee shop and yoga parlor, a spokesperson said this week.
Apartments at Willow House, located at the busy intersection of Willow Avenue and the 14th Street Viaduct, will rent for in the $4,000s.
The building, developed by Advance Realty, is located across from another luxury building, The Harlow, which contains Trader Joe's and Wine Dad's.
The 52 units in Willow House will range from studios to three bedrooms and may be occupied as early as next month.
The area is part of the North End redevelopment neighborhood, which will include several developers and ultimately include 1,500 new residences, retail, dining, open space, and cultural amenities.
Besides Starbucks, the 6,000 square feet of retail space will include a CorePower Yoga, a spokesperson said.
“Willow House reflects our integrated approach to residential development in Hoboken,” said Dan Cocoziello, principal and COO of Advance Realty Investors. “It brings together well-designed homes, a strong amenity package, and a location that connects residents to everything the city has to offer.”
When the Starbucks opens, it will be coffee company's fifth location in Hoboken. The company already has locations on Hudson Street, Washington Street, First Street, and inside the Unilever corporate offices on the south waterfront.
The new building is located at 1404 Willow Ave.
