Here are three restaurants that recently opened in Hoboken — or are soon to open — away from Washington Street:
Yala will soon be serving up Halal American food on Third Street. They're occupying the former Annie and Em's bake shop spot near the corner of Bloomfield Street. An online listing for the new eatery says an opening is planned for this Friday. The address is 155 Third St.
Poke Pot opened last month among a slew of small businesses and restaurants on historic First Street. The eatery serves up Hawaiian style poke bowls featuring "sushi-grade fish," as well as tea. They're located at 303 First St.
Uncle Rocco is also a new addition to the scene, although it's on Willow Avenue rather than a side street. The eatery is in the former Antique at 112 spot, and serves up "classic comfort food and fresh creations" from burgers to steak fries to avocado toast. They've also got a private dining room. Here's a menu:
Uncle Rocco is located at 112 Willow Ave.
