Man Rescued From Hudson River Near Hoboken Train Terminal

First responders rescued a man from the Hudson River late last month, officials said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A man was pulled from the Hudson River late last month by Hoboken first responders, officials said.

At approximately 11:35 p.m. on June 28, Hoboken Fire Department, Ladder 2, responded to the south end of the Hoboken train terminal on reports of a person in the water, said Hoboken public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin.

NJ Transit police were already on scene and deployed a securing device, but the person was unable to get out of the water.

Firefighters deployed a ladder and were able to assist the person out of the water, Rubin said.

The person was taken to an area hospital as a precaution, she said. Hoboken Police also responded.
