HOBOKEN, NJ — Free activities, workshops, and lessons will be held on Hoboken's upper waterfront this Saturday for "City of Water Day," sponsored by two non-profit groups.

The North Hudson Sewerage Authority, which manages the city's sewerage system, is partnering with Fund for a Better Waterfront, a local waterfront preservation group.

The activities will take place on the Hudson River from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

City of Water Day is an annual region-wide day of free events dedicated to the waterways that "define, connect, and sustain our communities," organized by Waterfront Alliance and New York-New Jersey Harbor and Estuary Program.

The day "aims to bring our communities together to champion a climate-resilient New York and New Jersey Harbor," said the NHSA in a release.

NHSA will host an information booth with educational materials and free giveaways for attendees of all ages, including tote bags, stickers, coloring books, and plantable bookmarks, they said.

The community is encouraged to visit the NHSA table to learn more about wastewater treatment, resilient infrastructure, and our ongoing efforts to protect the Hudson River.

The Fund for a Better Water front said, in a separate announcement, that there will be canoe trips, yoga, and more.
