Uptown Ferry To Be Suspended In Hoboken This Weekend, Free Shuttle Offered

A free shuttle service will take Hoboken ferry riders to Weehawken so they can climb aboard there instead. See the timing.

HOBOKEN, NJ — If you're hoping to take the ferry from 14th Street to Manhattan this weekend, think again.

The service from that spot will be suspended on Saturday and Sunday "due to barge repositioning," NY Waterway said this week.

While they move the barges, they will offer a free shuttle service from Hoboken to the nearby Lincoln Harbor section of Weehawken, which will depart every 20 minutes during regular ferry hours. Residents can get the ferry at Lincoln Harbor.

The first shuttle will depart from 14th Street on the waterfront at 9:30 a.m. each day, the city said. The last shuttle will depart at 8:55 p.m.

The last shuttle back from Lincoln Harbor departs at 9:35 p.m.
