Rob Menendez's office for help. The congressman's staff say they've now helped constituents in Hoboken, Jersey City, and the wider district recover more than $6.1 million from federal agencies, and encourage others with similar issues to contact their office.

Mercer County saw the biggest jump over the past year. • Jersey Vindicator (jerseyvindicator.org) — If you rent in Hoboken, new HUD estimates confirm you're in New Jersey's most expensive county for every apartment size, with studios pegged at about $2,462 a month. The report shows Hudson County rents far outpacing many other areas, while Mercer and several shore and rural counties are also seeing sharp increases that could ripple through the wider housing market.
