Hudson County Cities Will Take Fight Against Helicopter Noise To Court (patch.com) — Hudson County officials say Hoboken is expected to join Jersey City, Bayonne, Kearny, and others in a lawsuit targeting a helicopter operator over years of disruptive low-flying noise. Local leaders, including Hoboken's mayor, argue that coordinated legal action is needed to protect residents' quality of life as the case moves through Superior Court.
3. Report Of Shots Fired In Walgreens Parking Lot In Hoboken: Police (patch.com) — Hoboken residents awoke to a heavy police presence at the Walgreens on Willow Avenue after reports of shots fired in the parking lot around 2 a.m. Wednesday. No injuries or victims had been reported by mid-morning, the store briefly closed and then reopened, and police are asking anyone with information to contact a Hoboken detective as the investigation continues.
4. Renderings Reveal Mixed-Use Tower At 55 Hudson Place in Hoboken, New Jersey (newyorkyimby.com) — A 29-story mixed-use tower is proposed for 55 Hudson Place in Hoboken, bringing 365 rentals, affordable and workforce housing, offices for NJ Transit, and free office space for the city. Part of the Hoboken Connect plan near the transit hub, the project still needs approvals, with construction potentially starting in 2028 and finishing around 2030.
5. Saoco Cafe Confirms Closure in Hoboken (hobokengirl.com) — Saoco Cafe at 601 Jefferson Street has closed, with the owners confirming that leaving Hoboken was a difficult decision and expressing gratitude to neighborhood regulars. The coffee shop, known for specialty drinks and viral iced coffee pops, had only been open since 2025, and its social media presence has largely gone dark as the team moves on.
