HOBOKEN, NJ — After a long wait, signage appeared this week for a new restaurant that will replace a family-owned pizzeria on Hoboken's main drag.
Back in December 2024, Giovanni's pizzeria on Washington Street closed after 23 years. The corner spot remained vacant for months.
The owners of the family-owned restaurant had said they couldn't agree on lease terms with the building owner. READ MORE: Longtime Hoboken Family Pizzeria Says Goodbye On Christmas
In late 2025, a hanging sign appeared for Greens, Goods, and Grill at 601-603 Washington St.
But there appeared to be no activity for months.
The restaurant's website explained, "G3 brings together the best of both worlds: a modern convenience store and a fresh kitchen under one roof. We're here for busy people who want to eat well, feel good, and grab what they need—fast. From crisp salads and juicy burgers to refreshing smoothies."
This week, new signage appeared over the doors.
The shop has not announced an opening date, but says "Coming soon" on its website.
