HOBOKEN, NJ — The film "The Housemaid's Secrets," a sequel to the thriller "The Housemaid," is being filmed in Hoboken through Thursday, sources confirmed Wednesday.

Video posted by real estate broker Mark Stelhi in Hoboken showed star Sydney Sweeney and other actors filming at The Hive, an uptown coffee shop, on Wednesday.

The Hive had said the day before that it would close Wednesday for filming.

City spokeswoman Marilyn Baer confirmed Wednesday that the movie had paid the city $22,000 for permits and parking spots.

According to signage in town, Want for Nothing Productions, based in Jersey City, planned to shoot scenes in the area of 10th and 11th Streets, between Washington Street and Park Avenue both Wednesday and Thursday.

On Wednesday around 1:30 p.m., Patch spotted the crew still filming at The Hive on 10th Street and Park Avenue.

"The Hoboken City Council adopted amendments to the City's film ordinance proposed by the Division of Cultural Affairs earlier this year," noted city spokeswoman Marilyn Baer on Wednesday. "The amendments, which increased certain fees, maintain the City's desirability as a location for movie shoots while making the City more competitive with its peers.
This film has paid the city roughly $22,000 for permits and temporary no parking signs."
