HOBOKEN, NJ — Continuing a tradition started two years ago, a Hoboken homeowner hosted an unannounced concert in his uptown yard — and brought a celebrity rapper.
Ghostface Killah, an original member of the Wu-Tang Clan, showed up an performed a few tunes.
The rapper will be performing in concert in Newark next month with other members of the group.
Pavani's Band also performed cover tunes.
Last Year
Last year, members of the Sugarhill Gang —whose 1979 song "Rapper's Delight" was the first hip hop tune to reach the Billboard top 40 chart — performed in the yard.
The homeowner said the pair were a "friend of friends." The year before that, "Naughty By Nature's" Treach performed on Halloween night in the same space.
Hoboken's annual Ragamuffin Parade went without a hitch earlier that day. See the best costumes here.
