HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken's Artist Studio Tours celebrate 45 years this year, inviting the public into studios and lofts to enjoy creators' paintings, sculpture, music, and more.
This year's free event takes place Saturday and Sunday. During the self-guided tours, the public can look on the map (linked blow) and wander through the artists' spaces.
Three artists participating in this year's tour — Tim Daly, Fulda, and Richard Kocher — also took part in the inaugural 1981 tour.
The events will kick off with a free reception for the artists at the Hoboken Historic Museum, 1301 Washington St., 6-8 p.m. on Friday. The event includes a silent auction. You can RSVP and get more information here.
After that, fans can tour buildings full of arts lofts and see exhibits in restaurants, shops, and spaces around town.
Among the artists:
Zohreh Zadbood is an Iranian multidisciplinary artist writing in English and Persian, moving fluidly between photography, storytelling, and poetry. Her work can be found here.
Painter Brittany Vogel will display her work at a quirky new store on the city's main drag, Studio and Story, 629 Washington St., along with other artists. Check out her art here.
Most exhibits will be open from 12-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. See the map and more information here.
