Another Hoboken Bank Will Close This Summer
Two Hoboken banks have announced recently that they will close in the next three months.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Don't bank on being able to head to two different branches of your bank in Hoboken anymore, if you're a customer at Bank of America.
While the bank's location at Hudson and Second streets — a former site of a fire headquarters — will remain open, customers recently got a letter dated April 28 saying that the location in central Washington Street will close in August.

The location was once United Jersey bank, then became Summit, Fleet, and finally, Bank of America.
The location that will remain open is at 1 Firehouse Plaza, or 128 Hudson St.
According to the Hoboken Historical Museum, that was the original location of the Fire Department headquarters until the 1970s. The building was demolished and replaced by First Jersey Bank around 1976. A bronze plaque in the ATM area/lobby tells of its history.
