“I still don’t believe it,” Judith Lopez, Ureña’s mother told DNA Info. “I’m still expecting him to walk through the door.”
Lopez reported that her son was missing in November via an online fundraising campaign launched before authorities announced that Urena’s body had been found:
“My third baby boy, Anthony A. Urena is 23-years-old and he went missing on November 14th 2015… He is a full time student at Lehman College aiming to become a CPA… My son has never left the house before… Leaving all of his personal belongings behind, including his dog, Sampson… We need my Moreno back home, the house is not the same without his craziness and smile, his dog is acting weird because he misses him.”
