Baby's Death In Hudson County Investigated As Homicide: Prosecutor

The death of a 2-month-old infant in Hudson County is being investigated as a crime, prosecutors said.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — After a 2-month-old baby died in a Bayonne hospital in March, detectives are conducting a homicide investigation, officials told Patch.

Police were investigating a noise complaint on Avenue C in Bayonne on March 25 when they discovered the injured child, said reports on ABC and NJ.com.

The infant was brought to Bayonne Medical Center, said a spokesperson for the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office. The child died the next day.

"The infant was pronounced deceased on March 26," said the spokesperson. "This matter is being investigated as a homicide."

No charges have been filed so far, and no other information was available, officials said.
