Back To School: Hoboken 2023-2024 School Calendar, Important Dates

HOBOKEN, NJ — School planning has already begun in Hoboken, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day.

Most districts in New Jersey start after Labor Day (which is Monday, Sept. 4, 2023 this year).

The first day, according to the most recent school calendar, will be Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year. Check the calendar for half days before the holidays.

First Day: Thursday, Sept. 7.

NJEA Convention closures: Thursday, Nov. 9-12.

Thanksgiving Break: Thursday, Nov. 23-26. Half day previous Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Winter Break: Saturday, Dec. 23-Monday, Jan. 1. Half day previous Friday, Dec. 22.

The next school board meeting is this Tuesday, Aug. 22, in the Hoboken High School auditorium.
