Justin Baldoni Seen Filming 'It Ends With Us' Starring Blake Lively In Hoboken Wednesday

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Colleen Hoover novel "It Ends With Us" isn't your standard romance book; it's won praise for tackling the subtleties of domestic abuse. Now, readers are excited that it will be a film too, and were pleased to catch glimpses of stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni on set last week in Hoboken and Jersey City.

Lively and other cast members returned to the mile-square city of Hoboken Wednesday (May 24).

In fact, onlookers caught director/star Justin Baldoni heading out of the set at lunchtime (see photo above).

They're filming new scenes at a corner flower shop, "Lily Bloom's":

Earlier this month, a corner art gallery in Hoboken, Field Colony — which has been used in other films — was transformed into a "dusty cafe" called Maya & Maxim. This week, the set designers have changed it around, adding tchotchkes and flowers. (There's also an existing flower shop just around the corner, Beethoven's Verdana.)

The film takes place in Boston in winter, so expect to see cast members in heavy coats amid a predicted high temperature of 75.

Lively (As Lily) Will Return

As residents keep an eye out for stars on Wednesday, Hoboken drivers should keep an eye out for the tow truck: "No Parking" signs have been placed along part of 10th Street, saying to avoid parking there from Wednesday at 6 a.m. through Friday.

The Plot

In the film, Lively stars as a recent college graduate who falls in love with a surgeon, played by Baldoni. Amid various twists and turns, she opens a flower shop and pursues her dreams.

Crews began transforming Field Colony earlier this month into a cafe called Maya & Maxim:

The production is headquartered in Jersey City.

The Field Colony art gallery was also used for the filming of "The Kill Room" in May 2022.
