The Liberty Humane Society issued the following update on Tuesday:

“Braveheart, the dog who was shot just before this weekend’s blizzard, is out of surgery and doing well at the vet’s office. The bullet ricocheted off a rib and exited his body, which is very good. The vet has closed his wounds and he will remain hospitalized with drains in place through at least the weekend.”
