Bomb Threat Reported At Hoboken Supermarket; Avoid Area: Police

HOBOKEN, NJ — UPDATE: At 4:37 p.m., the Hoboken police issued an "all-clear."

The city wrote, "Update from the Hoboken Police Department: The Hoboken Police Department, with the assistance of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and NJ TRANSIT K-9 units, has cleared the area of 900 Madison St. following a phoned-in bomb threat and deemed it safe. The area will be reopened to the public. Thank you to residents for their understanding."

The Hoboken police said Monday aftenroon that they were at the ShopRite at 900 Madison St. afternoon investigating a bomb threat.

At 3:39 p.m., they asked residents to avoid the area.
