'Cake Boss' Endorses Christie For President

Gov. Chris Christie got a presidential endorsement from one of New Jersey’s biggest celebrities: The Cake Boss.

Christie was joined Monday at a town hall meeting in New Hampshire by Buddy Valastro, star of the “Cake Boss,” a TLC reality show based in Hoboken.

Valastro praised Christie’s leadership after New Jersey was hit hard by Superstorm Sandy, saying the country needs someone “who’s going to cut through the bullcrap and bring people together,” according to the Christie campaign.

Christie, who has been made New Hampshire a cornerstone of his campaign, has had a friendship with the Cake Boss that goes back to his first days in office as governor.

He joined Valastro for the grand opening of Carlo’s Bakery in Morristown a year ago, and the Cake Boss designed a cake for Christie’s first inaugural in 2010.
