Mile Square Theatre presents its first-ever pre-professional musical, "Urinetown," performed by artists ages 18–25 on stage and backstage.
"Urinetown" is a hilarious musical satire set in a Gotham-like city suffering from a 20-year drought and severe water shortage. In response, the government has banned private toilets, forcing citizens to rely on public amenities controlled by a corrupt, profit-driven corporation that charges admission for access to one of life’s most basic necessities. As oppression grows, an unlikely hero rises to spark a revolution and fight for freedom.
