Can't Afford Summer Supplies For Your Hudson County Kid? Here's Help
Camp costs too high? Hoboken's Community Center, besides having a free food pantry, is doing a pop-up Thursday for kids' summer supplies.

HOBOKEN, NJ — While low-income families can sometimes get government help with food and health insurance (Affordable Care Act-mandated insurance in New Jersey is on a sliding scale based on income, for those who don't know), other necessities may be out of reach.
Since before the pandemic, the Hoboken Community Center inside the former YMCA has tried to meet various needs by offering a food pantry, giving out pet food and toiletries, and even arranging for homeless men who live there to get free mental health care.
And Thursday night, they're doing a special pop-up event for summer supplies that kids may need. The event takes place at 1301 Washington St. from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
