Celebrate your pet with the St. Francis Blessing of the Animals

HOBOKEN, NJ — St. Francis Church (308 Jefferson St.) celebrates the Feast of St. Francis on Friday, Oct. 4 at 7 PM with a special mass that includes the Blessing of the Animals and a Pet Procession following mass.

The patron saint of the famed church that was home to Frank Sinatra's baptism cherished all of God's creatures. This special, unique mass invites people and their pets to celebrate their faith and pets. In the past animals in attendance have included snakes and rabbits but the most popular are dogs. Pets are asked to be in cages if necessary or leashes.
