HOBOKEN, NJ — The city of Hoboken sent an alert around 7 a.m. Friday to warn commuters that a sewer repairs near the Hoboken Train Terminal will delay traffic Friday morning. Buses and pedestrians can still get to the station, the city said, but vehicles will be backed up.

"Due to emergency repairs on a collapsed sewer, Hudson Place is closed between Hudson and River streets," the city wrote. "During repairs, eastbound traffic on Observer Highway will be diverted onto Washington Street. This is expected to cause heavy delays in the area, particularly for drivers in the southern parts of Hoboken. Hoboken Police are assisting with traffic and detours.

"Residential commuter, the HOP, and New Jersey Transit buses are currently able to access the terminal area. Sidewalks are currently openfor pedestrian access. The Citi Bike station at the terminal is currently operational. Please be advised, all closures and detours are subject to change.
