Collingswood Pair Falls Short in Cake Boss Season Finale

Al DiBartolo and Manny Agigian were representing DiBartolo Bakery on the reality TV show, according to the Courier Post.

Two bakers are bringing their fame with them back to Collingswood.

Al DiBartolo, 39, and Manny Agigian, 34, represented DiBartolo Bakery while competing on the reality TV show “Cake Boss: Next Great Baker” this season. They finished second to a team from St. Louis in the show’s season finale Tuesday night, according to the Courier Post.

They were pursuing a shot at $100,000 and a chance to work alongside Buddy Valastro at his new bakery, according to the report.

The competition began June 24.

DiBartolo’s Bakery originally opened in Pennsauken in 1969 by 58-year-old Benjamin DiBartolo.It is currently located on Haddon Avenue in Collingswood.

Alfred DiBartolo took over the bakery following his father’s death in 1978. He and his brother Michael continue to run the day-to-day operations while Al DiBartolo Jr. carries on the tradtion. He is an award-winning cake decorator.
