Hoboken Schools To Reopen Wednesday, After Water Main Break
The Hoboken schools will reopen Wednesday as the city continues grappling with a water main break.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken public schools will reopen Wednesday after having closed on Tuesday due to a water main break.

Superintendent of Schools Christine Johnson wrote shortly after 8 p.m.:

"We were just notified by the Office of Emergency Management that we are permitted to open our schools and preschool sites tomorrow, Wednesday, March 1st, for a regular, in-person, full day of school from 8:15 AM to 3:00 PM for students in grades K through 12 and from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM for students in Pre K 3 and Pre K 4. There will be no need for a remote learning day tomorrow. We look forward to seeing your children at school in the morning. Thank you for being so patient over the past day and a half."

"Lastly, our district's Black History Month Celebration and Dinner was planned for tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium. We have postponed the celebration and dinner until Thursday evening - same time, same place."
