NY Penn Station Delays, Hoboken Diversions After Disabled Amtrak Train

BREAKING: A disabled Amtrak train caused delays in and out of New York Penn Station on Tuesday, NJ Transit stated.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A disabled Amtrak train caused delays of up to 45 minutes in and out of New York Penn Station, NJ Transit stated Tuesday morning. Midtown Direct trains were diverted into Hoboken, the agency stated around 9 a.m.

“NJ Transit rail tickets/passes will be cross-honored on NJ Transit bus and private carriers, and with PATH at Newark Penn Station, NY-33rd Street and Hoboken,” NJ Transit stated.

Many commuters didn't take kindly to the delays on social media.

Midtown Direct trains will begin operating into New York Penn Station beginning with train 6628 at 10:25 a.m. (arrival into New York), NJ Transit officials announced.
