The Hudson Vicinage will hold a "consumer debt seminar" on Sept. 24. Learn about unfair collection practices, bankruptcy and more.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The Hudson Vicinage will hold a “consumer debt seminar” on Monday, Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hudson County Administration Building, 595 Newark Ave., Jersey City.
According to a news release, attorneys from Northeast New Jersey Legal Services will provide information on consumer rights regarding fair debt collection practices, including what a consumer needs to know about consumer debt, consumer options in the event of a lawsuit, understanding the lawsuit process, bankruptcy and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
The seminar will be hosted by the vicinage’s Office of the Ombudsman and Court User Resource Center. The seminar will provide general legal information only; no individual cases will be discussed or resolved.
