HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken police officers – along with their peers in Hudson County – carried out a drug raid at an apartment on 6th Street on Tuesday, authorities said.

A pair of Hoboken residents were arrested during the raid, which came after a two-month investigation and “many complaints from concerned citizens” about drug sales in the area, according to the Hoboken Police Department.

At 8:20 p.m., the Hoboken Police Department’s Investigations Bureau, along with the Hudson County Regional Swat Team and Hoboken’s Emergency Service Unit, entered an apartment on the 600-block of 6th Street.

As they entered the home, police found two people inside: Hashim Scott, 44, and Rebecca Gonzalez, 42. Scott – who was near the bathroom when police arrived – attempted to throw away a suspected CDS before officers took them both into custody, authorities said.

After searching the apartment, police found ingredients allegedly used to manufacture crack-cocaine, more than $800 in cash, prescription CDS medication and other “CDS-related paraphernalia.”
